How to get to the Kuramathi Island Resort.

Getting to Kuramathi is easy from all over the world. You can fly into the Male International Airport, with flight times from London Heathrow being between 12 and 14 hours.

Once you arrive at the Male International Airport the resort arranges your transfer links straight to your accommodation, either by speed boat or a seaplane! You will be met by airport hosts upon arrival after which you can freshen up in a designated lounge, where drinks and snacks are available.

If you choose to travel by seaplane the 20 minute flight will give you a great opportunity to see the amazing scenery from the air.

For those who wish to travel by speed boat, the airport hosts will show you to the dock and let you know when the boat is ready to depart. The speedboat usually takes about 90 minutes and runs twice a day.

To make sure that you are met by the airport hosts upon arrival and guided to your transfers to the Kuramathi Island Resort, contact the resort at least 72 hours in advance so they can make the necessary arrangements.

When is the Best Time of Year to Visit?

The best time of the year to visit the Maldives, and the Kuramathi Island Resort is between late November and April. During this part of the year the weather is warm and rain is rare on the tropical coral island. This means that the sea is at its clearest, ideal for snorkelling and diving, and you can enjoy the beaches at their very best.

If you are travelling on a budget, then the best time of year to visit is between April and June, just before the high season hits but still outside of the worst of the monsoon season, which runs from late May to November.
