Huvafen Fushi Resort in the Maldives

Visiting the Huvafen Fushi Resort is a great experience as in general going to the Maldives is a must do in many people’s views. Particularly among couples thanks to its peace and tranquility, plus it’s a very romantic destination in general with lots of privacy. Each resort in the Maldives has its own island with restaurants, activities and outings that can be arranged.

The local currency in the Maldives is Maldivian Rufiyaa, but seeing as how the Maldives is a very popular tourism area, they generally accept the US dollar and Euros nearly everywhere. If for some reason they don’t, they will accept cards very happily (saves them on currency conversion costs) and sometimes prefer it anyway.

As with the currency, they also have their language, Maldivian, but all of the staff at the resorts speak English as a second language, the only place you may run into problems is in the capital at some more obscure places.

How to Get Here

All international flights heading into the Maldives go to the capital Male’s Hulhule airport. Each resort being on its own island organizes its own transfer. To get to the Huvafen Fushi Resort there is a 30 minute speedboat ride or if you’d prefer you can take a seaplane which only takes 15 minutes. It’s worth noting however, seaplanes can only be operated during daylight hours, keep this in mind if this is your preferred choice.

Best time to visit?

There is no really bad time to visit the Maldives, it’s generally hot year round ranging from 23 to 31 degrees, however depending on if you want to maximize the best weather you’ll want to visit from November to April.

What is there to do?

Along with all the fabulous bungalows, ranging from luxurious to presidential there are a lot of other things to experience here at the Huvafen Fushi Resort.

For starters, you can have dinner overlooking the edge of the infinity pools, under the starlight and much more. If you’re looking for something a bit more basic (there’s nothing basic about the resort) there is a traditional restaurant and grill available for you to visit as well, all of which are a 5 star quality.

There is a private wine cellar for you to go wine tasting, treat your tastebuds with 6 different top range wines with discounts available depending on the type of accommodation you’ve purchased. They also have a dinner package so you can really make an entire evening of this, a must do for wine lovers that come here.

To finish off, it wouldn’t be a beach or luxury waterfront resort without water activities. Go scuba diving in the crystal clear waters or go jet skiing to get your share of excitement!
